We have developed receipt recognition model that allows you to automatically extract important information from receipts, including vendor, location, amount, sales tax, and line items. Our model is trained on thousands and thousands of receipts and we constantly improve it by using new data as well as adding new features.
We leverage cloud services and technologies from Microsoft including the Vision API from Microsoft Cognitive Services and Microsoft Azure Machine Learning and offer cloud scale for our receipt recognition API.
Our API is REST compliant and can be consumed from the web as well as mobile applications. The receipt format returned from the API is available on our Github e-receipt Open Source project that includes also the list of categories used to classify the receipts.
Our receipt recognition API is currently available in private Beta. We enable new developers on a regular basis. If you are interested in trying out our receipt recognition API, please don’t hesitate to submit a request using the form on the right.

We have developed a reference mobile application that uses our receipt recognition API and determines the top three categories that the receipt falls into. The application demonstrates the basic capabilities of our API and the potential use of it for more advanced expense tracking and finance management applications.
The mobile application is developed using Microsoft Xamarin framework and is available for iPhone, Android, and Windows devices.
